When I started with Drupal 7, I just dove right into site building, customization and theming. I didn’t dissect Drupal into its components. For Drupal 8, I am getting to know all aspects of the framework so I am never distracted by unfamiliar components when building or developing.
At the time of writing, apart from breezing through a few tutorials, I have not implemented anything with Backbone. I am making these notes as a reference overview of how Backbone works. When I get to D8 module development, if feasible, I may write a tutorial on how to incorporate Backbone into a Drupal module.
This is the first of a series of posts exploring Drupal 8. I am going from the front-end to the back-end starting with what are probably the more obscure to less obscure components of Drupal 8 with each post.
